Terms of Service

01Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You agree to give us accurate account and billing information and to keep it up to date.

For some plans, networks or targets we may ask you to verify your identity or your intended use before access is granted. We may decline or close an account where verification is incomplete or the stated use isn't one we support.

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including activity by your sub-users and anyone using your credentials.

02The Service

RiftIP gives you access to residential, ISP, mobile, datacenter, unlimited residential and IPv6 proxy networks through a single gateway, together with a dashboard and API for managing plans, credentials and usage.

We continuously improve the Service and may add, change or retire features, networks or locations. Where a change materially reduces what you've paid for, we'll give you reasonable notice. Features marked as beta are provided as-is and may change or be withdrawn.

03Plans, trials and billing

New accounts start with a 30-day free trial with the limits shown at sign-up. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your selected plan begins and you'll be charged for it.

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled from the dashboard.
• Usage-based networks are billed by bandwidth (per GB), by IP or by day, as shown on the plan at purchase.
• Prices exclude applicable taxes, which we add where required.
• We'll tell you at least 30 days before any price change takes effect on an existing subscription.

Refunds and service credits are covered by our Refund Policy. Billing questions can be sent to support@riftip.com.

04Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service lawfully and in line with our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms. You are responsible for making sure that your use — including the data you collect and how you use it — complies with the laws that apply to you and to the websites and services you access.

05The proxy network and IP addresses

IP addresses on our networks are made available to you for the duration of your plan; you don't acquire any ownership of them. Availability of specific countries, cities, carriers and IPs varies over time, and we don't guarantee that any particular address will remain available.

Residential and mobile exits are provided by partners who obtain consent from the device owners on their networks. You may not attempt to identify, contact or interfere with any end device or its owner.

06Credentials and API keys

Keep your proxy credentials and API keys confidential. Don't share them outside your organisation or embed them in software you distribute. If you believe a credential has been exposed, rotate it from the dashboard and let us know.

07Service levels

We aim to keep the gateway available 99.98% of the time each calendar month, excluding scheduled maintenance announced in advance and events outside our reasonable control. If we fall short, you may be eligible for service credits as described in our Refund Policy. Service credits are your sole remedy for downtime.

08Suspension and termination

You can cancel at any time from the dashboard; your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if your use creates a security or legal risk for us or others, or if we're required to by law. Where the issue can reasonably be fixed, we'll tell you and give you a chance to fix it first.

09Intellectual property

The Service, including our software, documentation and brand, is owned by RiftIP and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these Terms. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or build a competing service from it, except through our reseller program or with our written permission.

If you send us feedback, we may use it without any obligation to you.

10Disclaimers

Except as expressly stated in these Terms, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't control third-party websites and aren't responsible for their content, availability or response to your traffic.

11Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, RiftIP will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify RiftIP against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service in breach of these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy or applicable law.

13Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the new version on this page with a new date, and for material changes we'll notify you by email or in the dashboard at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.

14Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which RiftIP is incorporated, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before starting formal proceedings, both parties agree to try to resolve any dispute informally for at least 30 days.

15General

These Terms, together with the policies they reference and any order form you sign with us, are the entire agreement between you and RiftIP about the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
